Back in the early 2000's when I was in middle/high school, my mom and I started showing dogs. We first started with the Redbone Coonhound, after I saw the movie Where the Red Fern Grows I was hooked on the breed. My dad also hunted with Coonhounds so it became a family event. We would travel all over to Coonhound events and my mom and I would show while my dad would hunt! We soon started to broaden our pack and got into showing and raising English Springer Spaniels. It was really one of the most memorable times in my life and I have my parents to thank for it. Throughout my life so far I have owned several different breeds of dogs, raised litters of puppies, competed for 10 years in 4-H training dogs obedience, agility, and showmanship. Competed in Coonhound bench shows, water races, and treeing contest, and competed in many many confirmation shows!
